I’m a Marketing Strategist who helps outdoor sports businesses reach more customers, increase their revenue and amplify their impact – all while doing less things (so there is more time left for the great outdoors!).
My work is founded in research, marketing insights and a deep understanding of the outdoor sports niche. My inspiration comes from the outdoor adventure world, I love running in the mountains and swimming in the ocean. I applied all of this to creating Outventure Hub – a platform full of resources to help passion-driven outdoor sports entrepreneurs grow successful, long-lasting businesses.

I started my career as an Engineer. My plan was to design high-tech swim suits and ultra light bikes to help athletes win the Olympics. So I studied engineering at Oxford University to work towards that dream. After graduating though, I somehow found myself working as a project engineer on offshore oil rigs. Slight change in direction. But it turned out to be a great experience. I learnt valuable lessons in how to manage projects in high-pressure environments. I also met some super talented people and mentors. And I got to live in Scotland and Norway, two of the most beautiful places I’ve been to so far.
But, I just knew it wasn’t what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. Something was missing…
So in 2016, I left my job and spent 3 months running and hiking the entire length of New Zealand – 3000km, solo and unsupported, from Cape Reinga in the North to Bluff in the South. It was an incredible adventure! I realised then just how important adventure and wilderness were to me. It was what I had been missing.
I knew I wanted to design a life and career that would allow me to be more connected to the outdoors and to people who share this same passion.
It took two years, and quite a few twists and detours to figure out what exactly that would look like. During that time I worked in a strategy consulting firm, I went back to university to get a Sports Management MBA, I co-authored a digital marketing online course and I worked in a sports marketing start-up. These experiences all made me realise that I get a real kick out of turning ideas into actionable plans and creating strategies to turn visions into realities.
Finally, in 2019, I launched Outventure Hub to help outdoor sports businesses to boost their bottom-line, to grow their brand and to amplify their impact through powerful marketing strategies. Outventure Hub brings together my passion for adventure, my business and project management skills and my love of strategizing and “action planning”. Plus, I get to work and collaborate with like-minded people who share the same passion for the great outdoors. My dream job!

She believes that passion combined with strategic action are the key ingredients to long-term business success. That’s why she founded Outventure Hub as a platform dedicated to providing passion-driven outdoor sports entrepreneurs with marketing strategy resources to help them scale new peaks in their business.
Joséphine helps her clients to gain laser-focused clarity on their marketing strategy, to navigate the ever-changing world of social media and to implement systems to get through their marketing “to-do list” in half the time.
Joséphine is also a passionate endurance athlete and adventure traveller. She has completed the Marathon Des Sables desert ultra-marathon, she’s a 2:50 marathon runner and in 2017 she hiked 3000km unsupported across New Zealand to raise money for charity. She has lived in eight different countries and is currently based in Indonesia.
