Outventure Hub supports outdoor-minded entrepreneurs, who want to use their business to make a positive impact on the planet.

A note from the founder

I’m Josephine and I’m a digital marketing strategist, a writer, a web designer, and a lover of all things outdoors.

By combining my digital marketing skills, my business strategy experience, and my eye for design with my passion for nature, I help outdoor-minded entrepreneurs find creative and cost-effective ways to connect with their customers, grow their community, and make a positive impact on people and the planet.

Everything I do is personalised, strategy-driven, and hopefully a bit disruptive. It’s all about giving you focus and direction and helping you build an authentic brand that will inspire your audience and shift the needle in your business.

When I’m not behind the screen, I can usually be found running in the mountains, swimming in the ocean or exploring some remote country by bicycle. I crave connection with nature and I draw on my experiences in the great outdoors to fuel my passion for the work I do.

My guiding principles

  • Never stop exploring. The world will be better off when more of us explore the great outdoors and connect with nature in a meaningful way. That’s why I love collaborating with entrepreneurs who are passionate about inspiring their audience to spend more time outside.
  • Create whatever sets your heart on fire. When we align our work with our true passion and with a greater purpose…that’s when the magic happens. So what’s the one thing that gets you truly excited? Go make it happen!
  • Leave it better than you found it. This can be applied to any areas of life: our planet, our communities, our work, our homes. Through Outventure Hub my goal is to help outdoor-minded entrepreneurs build thriving businesses so they can have a positive impact on people and the planet.
  • Don’t take yourself too seriously. Life is so much more fun when we embrace our weirdness and imperfections 🙂

A not-so-linear career path

My early career: going to work in a helicopter

After graduating from Oxford University in 2012, I worked as a project engineer on offshore oil rigs in the middle of the North Sea. That’s where I really learned the importance of teamwork, adaptability and creative problem solving.

Taking a break: running across New Zealand

In 2016, I left my job and spent 3 months fastpacking the Te Araroa trail in New Zealand – 3000km, solo and unsupported. It was an incredible journey. I realised then just how important adventure and wilderness are to me.

Shifting: from engineering to sports management

After New Zealand I worked in a strategy consulting firm, went back to university to get a Sports Management MBA, and worked in a sports marketing start-up. These experiences all made me realise that I get a real kick out of combining strategic thinking and creativity to turn visions into realities.

Entrepreneurship: launching Outventure Hub

While living in Indonesia with my husband Kenny I decided to start my own business to be able to work from anywhere in the world. Outventure Hub was born!

Inspired to connect? I'd love to hear from you!
